Abandonment of Employment Intent to Terminate Employment Letter
This letter template provides employers with a simple, easy to issue letter to an employee who has abandoned their employment and the employer intends to terminate their employment. It provides for the employee to contact the employer immediately in order to explain their absence and to establish whether termination is warranted due to the abandonment of employment.
This letter should be used in conjunction with the Abandonment of Employment Caution Letter, only once the Employee has failed to provide sufficient reasoning for their unexplained absence from work.
To complete the letter simply fill in the yellow highlighted areas, add your company letterhead and issue/post the letter to the employee.
For further information regarding abandonment of employment, refer to our Employee Exit and Termination Procedure which is also available for purchase from our document store.
