Redundancy Letter – Intention to Terminate Employment due to Redundancy or Offer of Alternate Employment
This letter template provides employers with a simple easy to issue letter to an employee who’s role needs to be made redundant or there is an offer of alternate employment due to the impacted employees role being made redundant.
If the employee earns less than the High Income Threshold and they are engaged on an employment classification covered by a Modern Award, a consultation process should have been triggered with the employee receive correspondence detaining the situation and how they will be managed as a consequence. This letter is used as a follow up to the consultation process once a decision has been made regarding your intentions with the impacted employee.
At this point of the process the employee will either be redeployed or made redundant. This letter provides you with the ability to take either option.
To complete the letter simply fill in the yellow highlighted areas, add your company letterhead and issue the letter to the employee.
